Place Graslin
Le rêve de Fitzcarraldo
Henrique Oliveira

Henrique Oliveira’s hybrid sculptures are made with discarded pieces of wood, and explore the relationship between man, architecture, and nature.

He takes over Place Graslin with a monumental structure that erupts out of the ground and crawls into the theatre like a living organism. It seems to defy the very limits separating the natural from the artificial, and creates a fascinating dialogue between plants and architecture, transforming a public place into one where imagination meets reality.

Do not climb on the sculpture.
