A sort of zoo filled with references to Nantes.
This year, Le Voyage à Nantes and Naolib have invited artist duo Florentine and Alexandre Lamarche-Ovize to transform two streetcars into canvases that will move throughout the city.
The result is Le train fantôme (“Ghost Train”) – a sort of zoo filled with references to Nantes: an elephant representing Les Machines de l’île; underwater creatures from Jules Verne novels, a duck and a turtle found in Jardin des Plantes; along with more exotic creatures, like a flamingo, a hippo, and a crocodile.
Two trams on line 3. From 1 September, one of the two trams will run on line 2.
Florentine and Alexandre Lamarche-Ovize were born in 1978 and 1980 respectively. They live and work in Aubervilliers. They are represented by the galleries Laurent Godin, (Paris), Lefebvre & Fils, (Paris), Galerie Luis Adelantado, (Valencia, Spain).
Works produced by Naolib.
