The Graslin Theatre fitted out in an XVIIIth century style, makes along with the walking-gardens of the ‘cours Cambronne’, a beautiful example of neo-classicism dear to the architect Crucy.
Major work by Mathurin Crucy built in 1788, Nantes is one of only four French cities that still boast an 18th century Opera, and one of the rare in which the velvet is blue.
Pivotal to the town planning of the Graslin Quarter, it stands proud with 8 Corinthian columns supporting 8 muses all beautifully lit-up at night.
The Opera is today one of the top singing venues in France.
